[Help] [Dev] Understanding packets / Encryption

Hi, I'm attempting to downgrade a v55 odinms rev 988 source to version 28 of maplestory.
I have used the Wvs Releases as some reference. I've been reading that you can find packet headers/ structures within the client using IDA. My problem is after sending the Handshake packet and entering the login screen, upon entering a id/password I am given the following in the console:
Code:

INFO: Got unhandeled Message  (38) BF 55 7F 3C F5 54 0F 44 66 DE 18 B5 A1 34 77
A2 97 5C AF 3E 0D 75 25 31 D1 69 F1 84 BC 0B 60 24 B1 AB 58 85 34 B7

Oct 08, 2014 7:26:56 PM net.sf.odinms.client.MapleClient$1 run
INFO: Autodc

I have been reading that public v.28 Clients [localhosts] skip the AES encryption,
if this is true, then how do I handle packets correctly in a v.28 environment?

I also understand that headers, and structures change based on version, what I'm not understanding is whether AES is needed in v.28 within the source or not, or is causing false communication between the client/server.

Or maybe, I'm fucken doing this all wrong, ahaha
- Thanks, Joe
