[Discussion] PW server concept - need comments!

TL;DR:
I would love to hear some comments about the PW server concept. Details below.

Let me start with a prologue:
It seems like PW gameplay model is made especially to squeeze money out of it’s users’ wallets. The way up to lvl 100 is very, very easy. Free quest gears, charms, potions, some boutique items... At level ~100 it’s over, you’re getting kicked in the face. However, you are still used to free boutique items. When you finally have the lvl desired to start some farming and to get some coins, you lack these free gifts you used to get. You have to work hard to achieve something, and the boutique icon is constantly flashing in game. It’s temping to spend some real money to simplify your life.

I’m not even mentioning the R9...
That’s the tl;dr of PWE games policy :d At least as of now. It used to be different in the past.

Well, I’m not here to b*tch around about that. I propose the following set of changes which I’m going to implement on a private server. The boutique is still here, but the general gameplay is much more balanced.


The following changes are in regard to 1.5.3 PWI.

Rates: by default all rates x1, x2 during events. max lvl 105

Removed most of free quest gears - including Morai and QMaze ones. Instead, gears will drop from bosses in normal dungeons with certain (quite high) drop rates.

Greatly boosted FBs:
-much more experience
-pretty high chance to get a Dragon Orb (with lvl appropriate to the lvl of a dungeon) <- the only way to get it (!)

About crafting: it’s also a way to get your gear, but more likely a boutique one. Please see the cash shop details.

Cash shop:
-Upgrade items (Mirages/Tienkang/Tisha/Chienkun) <- with possibly increased rates
-Mounts/Flyers
-Fashion, Pigments
-Tome items
-Hypers
-Guardian scrolls
-Identity/Gender change stones
-EXP scrolls
-Inv/Bank/Pet/Acc stones
-Crafting materials
-no packs whatsoever

No Geographic Map

Illusion Stone would work possibly only for FBs




Notes:
I also have plans about decreasing the role of TT and PV. However I can’t figure out a way how that could work.

The event shop is still todo as well.



I’m really waiting for some comments & suggestions about the concept. I’m very interested to know if you would like to play on such a server. :)

Once the general concept of the server is complete I’ll start working on a very specific & detailed one.
